Periodic examination fees are provided for under Chapter 11 of the Code of Iowa and are to be established by administrative rule. Working with the Iowa League of Cities, AOS determined the following periodic examination fee structure in order to execute the statutorily required periodic examinations for Cities with average of actual expenditures for the previous two years:
